About us

We, Rudolf and Britta, are proud owners of this beautiful spot in Valkenswaard. Together with our children Fritz and Frederike, dog Trixi and cat Struppi, we lived in this cozy log cabin for several years. We would like to share this special place with others.

The center of Valkenswaard and the De Malpie nature reserve are within walking distance, as are the many hiking trails and cycling routes through the beautiful surroundings.

In addition to offering a place to sleep, we process fruit and vegetables from our own ecological garden. As the name 'Bij de Appelhof' suggests, we have a wide range of apples. We grow 25 different varieties: from the well-known Elstar to the old Star apple. The harvest season starts from August/September and all these apple varieties are available from us. In addition to apples, we have 7 different pear varieties and a number of cherry, peach and plum trees. In our large vegetable garden, tasty vegetables and lettuces grow, which, depending on the season, are also available from us.

Rules

Arrival and departure:

  • On arrival you must first report to the owner.
  • On the day of arrival, you can check in between 15:00 and 20:00.
  • Check-out before 10:00 on the day of departure.
  • It is only possible to deviate from the above times in consultation.
  • No refunds will be made in case of early departure.

Breakfast:

  •  If breakfast service has been booked, the products will be brought to your stay at an agreed time.

Residence: 

  • In order to respect the evening and nighttime sleep of the surrounding houses, noise nuisance must be prevented, in particular between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. 
  • No parties may be celebrated/held.
  • Radios and televisions should not be a nuisance to others.
  • Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight in the B&B without permission from the manager.
  • The B&B must be kept/left clean and tidy.
  • Waste must be separated in the appropriate waste bins.
  • Pets are not allowed in the B&B.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the B&B.
  • Private areas/garden may not be entered.
  • In the event of drug use and/or excessive alcohol use by one or more user(s), the stay will be terminated immediately and without refund for all users.
